Many thanks for all the comments on my past Barn owl picks.
Last one for now before everyone gets to bored.

As your image has been viewed quite a few times without comment Major, I thought I would start.
Personally I think the snow here does not work here. If there were more flakes in the image it would have looked better IMO.
Well, I'd be proud of this. The snow just adds to the atmosphere (if you'll excuse the pun).

Many thanks Nick & Clive. I thought i had blown it with this one. As you say Nick it had been viewed several times but no comments.
Take what you mean about snow flakes, but you either like it or not. Nothing so varied as peoples views on a perticular image. Still interesting to get some feedback. Thanks.
You definitely didn't blow it! I like the other barnie pics on your website too - one of my favourite avian subjects and definitely on the increase over here in West Norfolk.
Viewed this yesterday but didn't get the time or opportunity to comment.... apologies.
Its a very fine image, I think part of the problems with the snow is that it appears too sharp, but don't think there is a lot you could have done as a shutter speed fast enough to freeze the bird is going to do the same to the snow, so in this instance I think you have executed the shot very well, one that I would be pleased to have in my files..
