Unappreciated beauty
I know this is not the most popular subject matter, but I can not help but be amazed at the colorations of these birds.

Yes, Wade, you're right. Not one of my favorite birds, but this is an incredible image. Sharp, excellent pose, nice blurred background, no distractions. Excellent.

Agreed. However, the little devils are masterfully detailed and colorful. I was astounded when I first saw one through binoculars. Wow. And this is a wonderful shot of it, Wade. Too bad they have such a bad wrap or they might be one of the avian front cover favs, huh.

Good shot, Wade. I'm not much of a bird fan, but I love the detail you caught. The color you got for the out of focus background really made the bird pop! Are these birds found locally?

Magnificent bird, Wade. I too have a love hate relationship with these social, intelligent, invasive, nonnative birds. You got the perfect focus and light on the bird to really show the beauty of the coloration and diversity of the different feathers on the bird. I also appreciated the simple background. Great job!!
