A shot from an early morning hike this last weekend up in Breckenridge. The wildflowers are still a few weeks from prime, but they are starting to look pretty good. C&C is always appreciated. :toast:

I really like the foreground flower as it commands my attention. I do like the shallow dof too. But I wonder if you took one with a smaller aperture? Excellent color and the light streaming through is a nice touch.

I think the sunlight on the forest floor is too hot and too dominant, but that can certainly be toned down. Like Morris, I also hope you might have one with more DOF. But it's a cool shot.

Cool, thanks for the feedback gents. I went with a bit shallower DOF on this one, since there really was nothing too interesting in the background. I will keep that in mind though when shooting a scene like this again.

Very cool shot! I guess I would say that either more or less DOF would work better. The bright line among the flowers and ground also pull my eye away from the main flower a bit too much. Overall, it is a great composition and generally well executed.

More DOF for me, but I like it.

Like the low angle with the trees in the background.
