Here is an image of a Short Eared Owl that was very obliging and sat on this post for a minute whilst I rattled off some images. It was taken in NE Norway during a recent trip specifically to photograph the bird life inside the arctic circle.
Their amazing stare and facial features captured perfect here Austin, the composition does work well, but for me a tad more over to the right.Detail and colours are spot on,beautiful SOE.

A super image that I would love to have in my p/f. A pleasure to view.

Hi Austin,
That is an absolute beauty. Great eye contact and what eyes - I love it. I have been back to it a few times now and every time I arrive I feel it has a slight magenta cast; probably my monitor or my dodgy eyes as no-one else has mentioned it but it might stand another look?
That takes nothing from the shot though. eric

Might be a tad central for some, but a nice portrait nonetheless.
A change from four legs, nice one.

As already been said a tad central but otherwise a fantastic image.

Thanks for your feedback.
Eric, others have seen a magenta cast as well. I appreciate that kind of feedback as I find myself missing such details from time to time.
