LOTUS
Not the car, the flower. Captured yesterday am, Hughes Water Gardens, Tualatin OR. Full size with some minor PS exposure lowering for the bright yellow center.

Making great use of that macro lens, Craig. I like this, the colors are very strong and complimentary. Great image.

Nice macro shot, Craig. Love the colors and the detail at the flower center.
I've never been to the Hughes Water Gardens before. What else is available?

Hello Don,
My first time there and liked seeing the assortment of Lotus plants in about 7 ponds. One is outside and their are 3 others (might have had a light cover that permitted lots of light in.) The ponds are long and about 6-8ft wide with many blooms close enough to the edge for closeup macro shots. They have a huge assortment of retail water and garden plants along with fountains of all types. They don't mind photographers, I just wish they opened closer to sunrise... during the week they open at 9am, not sure on weekend times. Their variety has different species of Lotus blooming at different times of the spring and summer. I'm told their are lots of hummingbirds as well but didn't see any, their are lots of dragonflies. Happy Shooting! Craig
