This may be of interest to the Northeasters out there. I just got word on Facebook that NBC's Today Show is broadcating from the Seacoast Science Center at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, NH at 8:00 am tomorrow (Fri 6/25) Looking forward to it. My husband's family settled there in the in the late 1600s. There is a lot of historical interest there for our family, and the Seacoast Science Center is a pretty cool place for teaching kids about marine biology.

Thanks for the heads up. How cool is that, your being so connected to the place by such a long history. Doesn't often happen in America.

Very cool! Will be watching, for sure..
Sounds as if the place is named after your husband's family?

Sandy - It is. the Odiornes landed there by boat in the 1600s from England. Really a lot of cool history. The family has tracked the geneology way back to before they arrived here. We've been there a couple of times for reunions, but not for 10 years, so it will be good to see if anything has changed.
