Which do you prefer?
I can't make up my mind about these 2, I like both for different reasons. The first I like for the clouds, and second I like the city and reflection better. What do you think?

I shot these last night on the way back from Wahclella Falls.

the first one does it for me, the sky in more dramatic

#2 is the winner for me - really great city shot. The reflection is more focused on the city, which is what the main subject should be in a cityscape shot like this (in my opinion). That Sky in #1 is pretty awesome.

I prefer the first one. Less cramped and better flow through the image with the sky shapes.

I like the first also for the sky. Now if you were my brother, just take the sky from...

LOL Erik, the thought did cross my mind, but I thought better of it

The 2nd one is the best one. The 2nd one has a better sky... it's too blocked up and dark in the first one. You have more lights in the 2nd one also, which makes it better.

I like the first one better because of the sky. Also, I actually think the reflection in the second one is too strong. Without the side-by-side comparison to sway opinion, the first one's reflection would look just about right.

Combination of the two would be perfect. They both have something better than the other. #1 sky, #2cityline. If I would have to choose I would go with #1

Number one for sure... :toast:

I also prefer the first shot. Even without the sky, that would be the one. The photographer is getting in the way of the subject in the second, too heavy handed a presentation.

Zack,

#1 for me, too. #2 says "nice picture of a city." #1 says "Whoa, nice clouds with a nice city!"

THe 1st one is better. Honestly though...what would be wrong in taking the reflection from the second one and using it on the first one. It was from almost the same vantage point...to me, it's the same as doing a digital grad. It's not a sky from another state or day. It's probably taken within minutes of eachother.
