Great coastline, love the flowers for the color. And to be honest, would love to see more flowers, more coastal rocks and less sky. But then you were there an knew what you had to work with. A very nice image from the Big Sur coast.

Beautiful day out! I agree with Lon but maybe this would be good for a panoramic stitch since the sky is so beautiful too.
I cropped the bottom of the original because I felt the scrub brush detracted from the photo. For comparison, here it is, with some of the sky cropped out to give more land to sky ration in the composition. Do you prefer it? Thanks for your comments.
Yeah, this looks and feels much better balanced to me. Fortunately there is still color in the lower right, so the bare brush doesn't bother me any. It's just my opinion... but the first one feels cut off and almost like your focal point is the fog bank. This second one with the original uncropped bottom just "feels" more like a balanced coastal landscape. If that makes sense...

Nice stuff Tony
I see you made it down to my one of my favorite stomping grounds along the coast. I like the second comp as well with more earth and less sky. Its great when the fog peels back like this and gives you a nice view of things. Today did the same thing in Monterey - fog in the AM breaking way to beautiful blue skies.
Did you happen to hike on the other side of hwy1 as well? Just curious since it normally peaks earlier (April-early May).
Thanks for the comments everyone. Sometimes it's difficult to be objective about one's own photos. Actually, I still prefer the first, but as they say, there is no arguing with taste.
Derek, I didn't make it over to the other side of the highway. Looks interesting.

Tony, we don't see fog come in such a high wall like that down here in Ventura County. That's my favorite part of the image, the flowers are nice and the way the coastline works as a lead in line forming more of distintive shape. In the first image I might guess you are not sure whether you like the sky or land better?
Nice shot, Tony, you hit it at a good time; a little sunshine, some fog, flowers in bloom. Some years the flowers on this hill side are a bust, no color at all, but this year seems everything is in bloom.
