One from an early start on Saturday morning. I was pleased to find this pair trying to increase the dwindling population of this species, which is now very rare and only found at a few sites.
I know some of you won't like the palm frond bottom right, but I decided to leave it as is.
Thank you Robert. On looking at this image again, the pair need to be lifted in the frame by cropping a tad off the top. Although you didn't explain, I think I can see where you are coming from.
Many thanks,
Fran

I think you're self-critique is right, Fran, it would be better to be composed a tad higher in frame, but it's still a first rate image nevertheless. Beautiful colours with the light coming through the wings and both subjects sharp. And let's not forget that it's a rare moment you've captured so any nit-picking is redundant. Really excellent

Looks an excellent capture to me, great colours and sharp all round.
you have already covered the one nit, apart from that is is superb.
Phil.
Nice to see a backlit image of this behaviour - the approach works very well with this species.
Cheers,
Chris
Hi Fran,
I agree with what has been said, its still a super behavioural shot of a very scarce and sought after species.
Cheers,
Lewis.
Very nice image, lovely light.
