Love is in the air
This Macro lens alongside the examples exhibited on this forum has opened up a complete new sphere for me. Coupled with the advice and comments offered by the professionals and experts in the field makes this forum second to none. Thank you.

The subjects are getting smaller as they days go by and I'm getting closer.

canon 1D3 canon 180mm Ringflash ISO 400 180mm f/13 1/300 sec handheld.

Critique, Comments and Advice most welcomed.
I have tried to implement previous suggestions.

Thanks for looking.

I think this is coming together very well Barry. You have some great detail and I like the comp with the plant leaning towards the top Rt. Nicely exposed. I might be inclined to remove the stem that comes in at an angle bottom LHS and I'm not to bothered about the other FG plants as they add interest.

When photographing mating bugs you might like to try a 'profile' shot as it seems to provide more detail regarding the behaviour. The top view is fine and we can tell the story but profile adds another dimension of intimacy. Just a thought..?

I like the way your macro is going, keep it up.

your macro shots are definitely improving Barry, this is a nicely exposed, sharp image. I agree with Brett's comments re. composition.

Works nicely Barry, very detailed. Just a couple of dust bunnies above the flower by the looks of it but no big deal. :wavey:

Getting better all the time Barry :toast:

Still could do with a sensor clean

Hi Barry,

Agree with all the above, an excellent shot, just loose the dust spots.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Thanks Guy's

Our location is a vast dust bowl and it can be a big problem. We are due home in three weeks. Not an excuse for dust spots. I did try various shots this pair were deeply engrossed so it made my task easier.
