Roe in Hay Meadow
Its fairly unusual to be able to capture an image of anything in a hay meadow at this time of year as the grass is so long. This doe caught me by surprise as I was watching her mate in the distance. She popped up out of the blue as I couldn't really see her when her head was down feeding. I was a bit annoyed about the oof grass across one side of the face but this was all I got before she trotted off.

Its good to see the BBC reporting on the value of hay meadows today too : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/science_and_environment/10381309.stm

Thanks for looking

Hi Simon,

It is indeed a cracker! Shame about the oof grass across the face, but couldn't be helped. I have no chance with these in hay meadows, they hear me sneezing a mile off  !!

Cheers,

Lewis.
