Aspen and Fog
Been awhile since I posted ... thought I'd share a freshly-made image. I'd love to hear your impression of this one.

Skeleton trees and fog - Schubarth Road near Woodland Park, Colorado
(Toned and a slight vignette added to enhance the mood)

The master is at it again. Simple, stunning image. Love the high key effect, Jesse. This will make a lovely print.

Gorgeous, Jesse. This is a good example of the very well-developed Speer style: simple, clean, elegant. I agree with Bret; this will look really nice printed, epecially on art paper.

One suggestion I might make - the two trees at the left side fo the frame (the ones that create the main center of interest)... I think you might fade them out a bit toward the top of the frame; I think the way they go out the top of the frame at full strength is just a bit distracting.

Nicely done! :toast:

Ahh, excellent catch Nat. Great suggestion.

Thanks for the comments guys!

That is a great suggestion. What an artful piece, though. Awe-inspiring work once again, Jesse.

I love the image, but wish that I could see the tree tops - maybe Nat's fading towards the top idea will do the trick.

Another Speerific shot. So simple, so clean, so elegant. The processing just makes it sing.

Beautiful Image as always Jesse. I really like Nats suggestion as well. :toast:

As others have said, a well done image of the trees. Clean, simple, pleasing to the eye.

My overall impression is that I really like this. Wonderful mood, and I just love your processing, not just on this image, but all your work. I think Nat's suggestion is a good one. Personally, I find the bottom a bit tight, especially below the two trees. My eye is seeking a bit more space there. I wonder if fading that area would help.

Mmmm, I like me some high key! Nat said exactly the same thing I was feeling when first looking at the image about fading the two main trees at the top. Otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing. The positive vignette, especially on the bottom, definitely works for me.

Ethereal, and unique.
'Development' is spot on.

Nice build of form and content. It gives a feeling almost like the orthopan work of the early western photographers.

Implement Nat's suggesting and you have another stunning winner Jesse!!!!

I love the feel of this shot....it has almost a ghostly feel to it. Excellent processing as always with your images.

I agree with the above - simple and artistic and great idea to fade the top. Nice work, Jesse!

What a gorgeous B&W. A simple and elegant image, nicely done. I agree with the fading out of tops of two left trees.
