Another image from early on Saturday and the same pair as my previous post. Possibly a bit large in the frame for some, but I quite liked the detail here.

40D, 300 mm, extension tubes, f11, ISO 640, 1/30th + tripod, full frame.

I much prefer this to your previous posting, Fran. To me it does not matter here that the butterflies are large in the frame, the extra detail makes it worthwhile.

I liked your previous post but like this even more. Not too large in frame for me. Detail is supberb. You are very lucky. I have never seen these before. I don't think they come to my neck of the woods.

Beautiful! You could easily add canvas if you feel it is too big, but that's down to personal preference.

This works for me too. I like the composition and the detail is spot on.

Super image , just enough DOF for me and they sit great in the frame .

Very nice, just enough DoF plus good detail and colour.

Excellent image Fran, personally I am more in favour of butterflies being a bit larger in the frame, specifically to catch all the extra detail.
