Waiting!
Sand Martins.
Nikon D300
Nikon 500ml F4
1/400sec
F8
iso 500.
Worked a few days during the winter digging out a steep bank in an old sand pit i now have about 40 + nests and none in the other parts of the pit,the hide was put up before the birds arrived so i can get to it without disturbing the birds.
Cloned a little above the birds to get rid of a bit of mess.

C&C please.

Superb! I recently had a go at a similar site, but failed due to harsh light, so I'm envious. I wonder (from the eyes) if it is slightly oversharpened?

It does look over sharpened to me as well but a really nice image nonetheless. Unfortunately the cloning hasn't worked to well on this occasion and might be worth visiting again..

Kieth
Classic image of birds which are absolute posers at this stage of their growth,in the nest entrances.
It's the cloning and possible sharpening that lets it down a bit. With PSP you need to have the clone tool set on 100 Opacity and 100 density, and step about 25- with brush size to suit. The cloning on this one looks softer with lest density than the surround.
The two identical dark bits top dead centre are a give away which is easily sorted.
Cheers

Hi Keith :wavey:

Cracking shot with loads the Ohhh factor :toast:

Looks a bit over sharpened and the cloning job a bit rough
