Juvenile Dipper
1Dlln, 600 mm f4 is, 1/320s, f6.3, iso 200. Morning sun. Slight crop.

I've recently had my first opportunity to watch dippers and what great fun it has been. The young appear much more frequently than the adults and are attractive in their own right. The background is still water, reflecting distant trees.

Agree - big job looks fine - this version looks not too sharp on the head.
Different and good stuff.

It's all there in the larger version Ian and really well photographed. Having a cream bib makes it a tad easier to expose on these youngsters and you've gathered plenty of detail throughout.
