In a quandary

Hey all I didn't know where to ask this and thought what the heck I would ask here. I am sort of in a quandary at the moment.

I recently did a complete reformat on my old system and made sure I saved my plugins for PS when I did so. Now I am having an issue...about 4 years ago I purchased Chroma Photographic Filters from Chroma Software, it is now asking me to enter the info again when I try to use it, which, stupid me, was erased when I reformatted. I tried contacting Chroma Software but it appears that they have gone belly up and are no longer in business (website is dead http://www.chromasoftware.com/ ) Am I SOL? And if so, can anyone recommend anything similar to the plugin? I know about Opanda's Photographic Filters but it is a standalone app and not a plugin (it is also 100% free http://www.opanda.com/en/pf/index.html ) Suggestions?

Thanks all
John

I have used a software package called Recoversoft Data Rescue on a few of my clients PC's with pretty good results. Even if you have reformatted your hard drive, many of your files can be recovered...not sure about serial numbers though unless you recorded them on a word or notepad document. If they were part of the registration process then it may not help you. The software costs $100.00 and no guarantees so you have to decide if it's worth it or not....hope that helps.
