Any cherry tree shots this year? Portland Japanese Gardens Sunday

Just wonderin' if anyone has any from this year yet. They're still in bloom downtown PDX, and it seems the cherry trees at the Japanese Gardens are just starting to show, too.

I plan to be somewhere this weekend. Let me know if interested.

Kevin - I'd probably be up for this. Last time I drove near downtown, they didn't seem to be in bloom though - but that was last weekend. Let me know what you plan to do...

Kevin, I was looking to get out this weekend. Cherry blossoms sound great. Let me know where and when. I will meet up with you.

I'd show up for some blossom shots, too. I keep wishing I knew the field where the single cherry tree was at..... but haven't found it yet... Japanese gardens or anywhere else would be fun.

Just driving home tonight, I passed this backroad in west linn that had a long driveway bordered by a white fence and a tunnel of cherry blossums...I'll try and shoot them tomorrow, but it might be a week early as of today...I'm heading over the mountain towards central oregon with a few others on Saturday, but I may be able to get out on Sunday...but I'll watch and see when you guys get out and see if that works for me. I plan on making up some time with my newly returned D2X...

Hello all,

I'm not sure which would be the better day - maybe Sunday (no rain?). I would at least like to get to the Japanese Gardens. I'm a member so I can get in an hour before it opens (9 AM) and can take a guest. Whichever day works best for all will help me decide which morning to go.

Anyone interested in going or have another idea, my phone is 503-335-1428.

I plan to be at the Japanese Gardens at 9 AM on Sunday. Hope to see some forum people there too :wavey:
