I finally got thru my photos from last months vacation to Maui and Kauai. Needless to say it was a great trip and I'm sad it had to end. This is a full rainbow as seen from Kaanapali.

Sunset at Hanalei Bay. This place was awesome with so many different available compositions.

Poipu Beach in B&W. I'm know this can be better but not sure what I need to do to improve it.

And lastly, some colorful grasses that were on the property where we stayed. Hope you enjoyed them and please I welcome all / any comments / suggestions etc.
Nice colorful collection - makes me want to go back!

Nice, Bert. Love the grass! The B&W beach shot seems to be focused on the foreground rocks/coral. The background is lost and distracting. Although you'll lose a lot of image depending on the resolution of the image, I'd crop the top third and make the focal point the diagonal progression of rocks/coral.
These are all really nice, Bert. I'm really fond of #3 and #6. The mood, colors, composition - everything is there in spades in #3. #6 is just such a lovely and colorful abstract. It's fun.
The b&w: I think Kalin hit the nail on the head. I might dodge the rocks a bit and burn the sand a little just to give more contrast between the two. That's about it, though.
Looks like a great trip Bert, love all the vibrant colors.
#2 is cool with the placement of the sun, but I would suggest maybe cropping a little more from the bottom and just a tad from the top to emphasize that pano a bit more and focus the interest on the pier and interesting clouds.
#3 is soo close, only suggestion would be to add a bit more contrast to the clouds, if you're into that sort of thing...
#5 is nice as is, and #6 is excellent!!!-Thanks for sharing

Quite a diverse collection here. #2 is my favorite. Gotta love the color, silhouette and the placement of the sun is perfect.

Love the Plumeria shot. After living there, my wife keeps trying to grow one of those here in Colorado (indoors), but they just keep dying in the winter. Great collection.
Well Mahalo for those, Burt! I also really like the grass shot for it's uniqueness, but the scenics make me feel the tropical breezes and the plumeria reminds me of the smells. And you visited all my favorite places, Kaanapali, Hanalei, and Poipu!
