From this last weekend up off Trailridge Road. Erik always manages to get beautiful colors in that place. This was one of the better sunsets I have seen in a long while. C&C as always welcome.

Nice shot and good color, Koveh. I think I'd like it just bit more if you had shifted just tad to the right to put the rocks and the peak in opposite corners with the clouds cutting the other angle - but I'm an angular kind of guy. Also, while the frame is nice to offset the image, I think I'd rather see a larger image, at least in this case.
Good job!
Thanks for the feedback Kalin. I agree with you on the offsetting, and tried to do just that when composing this image, but found that it did not work so well with the larger foreground element. I certainly could have backed up a bit, but then a large foreground element was done on purpose here to add to the featureless grassland. Good feedback though.

Was this on Saturday night Koveh? If it was I remember seeing this cloud from further south on the Peak to Peak byway and thinking to myself that Trail Ridge would have been the PERFECT place to be to capture it. Looks like you were definitely in the right place at the right time. I like the comp especially how the curve of the tundra horizon is echoed in the top curve of the two foreground rocks.

Love the colors and the comp. Well done.

The colors in the clouds do complement the dry-looking grasses in the foreground. Very pleasing perspective composition and the centering of the FG rocks doesn't bother me. I fall into Kalin's camp and would like to have seen the image without the frame so I could have seen more detail in the image. Well done.
Very nice!!! I like the placement and think you did a great job. There may be a slight blue cast to it which is easily adjusted. I'd also increase the contrast slightly and also the sharpening but that's all very minor. I'm only mentioning it because you've told me you want the input. I saw that cloud as well but was not in a position to make use of it. Glad you were there to capture it!!
Erik, I always appreciate the feedback, and yours is great as usual. Do you think the blue tint is just in the mountains or in the foreground as well? That is easy to adjust. Also, same question with the contrast, more on the entire image or the mountains? Thanks for the help!

Jashua, this is indeed from Saturday night. Hopefully you walked away with a decent shot yourself.
