Bad hair day !
Jay
Managed a short session in the stoney field pool yesterday and didn't get much but this jay performed well. As they always do in water. Sun was a pain though - very harsh.

Brilliant! I'm amazed at the variety you get. These are so skittish in my area.

Great shot John, I really like close-up portraits like this, great colours and a slightly comical look. Looks like you have found the sweetspot on the Bigma, never really got on with mine.

I'm not really a fan of this kind of shot (I like wildlife photos to reflect the beauty of the subject) but this did make me chuckle

Thanks all. I must admit the longer I use that lens the more I like it - especisally lately with insects. It s great in a hide because if I am say 15 feet fom my pool I can rack in to 50 mm and see whats coming in through the camera without using the hide peephole which can crick an old nech after a few hours !
Cheers

Another cracker John. Stunning detail. What about Marmite? You haven't mentioned him of late. Is he still around?

Dale that Jay is much better looking than Chris Packham

Dale - Everything is better looking than CP- even me.
Maggie- He 's back and forth every day but not brought any young to the garden yet.
Fraid the old martins and Owls have meant marmite is teporarily forsaken :frown: :frown:
