Andrew's Charm
I just returned last night from a trip to Lake Nanita in the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park. It is one of the most beautiful lakes in the park with Andrew's Peak on the south end and Ptarmigan Mtn on the north end. I wish I could have stayed in the area longer but this is the busy season at the gallery too. I have lots of photos to process and so I may post another couple here during the next day or two.

I apologize for not being more active and commenting more on the many amazing photos being posted here. Hope you are all having a great summer!

You know its not bad to have a busy season, but one of these days you're gonna have to hire an assistant to free up your creative time. We like seeing what you come back with.

Here's a view of Andrew's from a tarn just south of Nanita, taken before sunrise.

Beautiful scene and well captured Erik. I love the leading lines in #1 and the perfect reflection captures in #2. Really glad your getting out despite how busy it is. I always get inspired by your work!

#1 is my favorite. Completely over-the-top cool. You might consider straightening the lake horizon a bit by bringing the right side down, but that's the only thing I could think of that could even possibly improve the image. #4 is wonderful too. Love the "moonstar."

Good catch Joshua! I'll make the adjustment.

Great shots Erik. Looks like a good hike to get into that area.

nice series Erik. I think I am most partial to the first one with the inclusion of the wildflowers.

Wow, great shots Erik! These are the kind of shots, especially #s 1 and 4, that make me say "man, I wish I could be there." Great captures of great conditions. I can see why it must have been hard to leave this place! Image #1 is a definite large plaque-mounted print for your gallery!

Outstanding Erik. Number 1 should bring in some revenue for sure.

Some fine work, Erik. I really love 1 and 4.

While all of these are really excellent, #1 is one of the finest backcountry images of the Rockies that I've ever seen. The placement of the logs across the lake is pure serendipity!

Wow John, that's about the best compliment I could ever ask for. You might want to reconsider before I get too big of a head.

Few settings in the park are more beautiful. A fine tribute you've paid here. I love the moon image.

Great series. These really make me wish I was closer to RMNP. Guess I'll have to make it a destination someday. Thanks for sharing, Erik!

The first one seems a bit busy to me, but #2 and 3 are knockouts!!! Your photos keep making me want to jump in the car and head up north!
