Unfiltered
I guess there's one benefit of all the forest fire smoke lingering in the Colorado skies, and that's what it does to sunlight in terms of both color and contrast. That's Black Mountain on the left and Pikes Peak at center-right just after sunrise on Monday.

If you'd like to see a larger version, go HERE.

I went THERE and wow!!! Nice layers and the muted colors are fantastic! I think the smoke from the fire at RMNP was responsible for the enhanced color in my shot as well. Big toast to you on this shot my friend :toast: :toast:

I saw the title, "Unfiltered", and thought you were talking about your mouth Todd! :jump:

Seriously though, killer shot, and that larger image is so damn sharp! Love the layers!

Agreed. Nice layering with the warm light and haze. :toast: Funny thing... Liking the smoke from Calif. & AZ fires for photography while knowing the fine particulate stuff is just trashing one's lungs. :frown:

Very nice! I love what smoke does for images like this, creating warm gentle light that is perfect for showing layers. :toast:

Geez, had you not said anything I would've thought you bought a new Singh-Ray purple/pink/gold filter!
Awesome shot - I take back everything I said about wildfires.
