I am heading from Long Island out to the Southwestern States around July 15th and was wondering if anyone would like to join me. A death in the family caused my partner to have to cancel at the last minute. Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, or Utah...I don't care, but I do have some sites on the menu. I have been out there several times in the past and was wondering if anyone would like to tag along. I have 4 weeks so I have the luxury of time. This is a camping trip and I have three tents and all the equipment to make life comfortable while roughing it. Any takers?

If you pass through Colorado and more exactly Colorado Springs, I could guide you through the Garden of the Gods as seen on my site and books! Bring your tripod and plenty of Memory cards! You might need more than just one day to explore this little Gem I've been shooting for more than 20 years! My contact info is on my site!

You know the temp in Las Vegas has been around 118 the last few days and the desert in UT and AZ can't be far behind. Many of use who live out here hide in the mountains this time of year searching for the cooler weather. Bring your mosquito repellent and sunscreen. You'll need both. In that timeframe, many of the RMNP folks can be found in the Ouray Colorado area.

Yes, I know about the heat. I've been to the desert 5 times before and always in July or August. The 4 times I have hiked the Grand Canyon it was August. When you're a teacher that's when you get to go unfortunately.
