Thank you for the comments with regard to the previous post from Utah.
Here is a rock formation that was surely odd in it's overall presentation. Kind of reminds me of a Spartan warrior headgear or maybe a BIG ground crawling bug of sorts...
Anyway, I did not do any cropping and wanted to include the base area as well as it too is kind of unique in it's platform of support to the rest of the formation.
For the LF guys, this was one of those fun shots that required me to use some good movements to fine tune things from the incline position I was shooting from. Right directly behind me was a 25ft. deep ditch full of tumble weeds to avoid also.
Thanks for taking a look see.....

Thanks for the comments, Jeffrey and Robert. It was a quick scan and mount here, so I'll need to revisit the color thing. I think it has the Velvia Cyan thing going too much.
Wonderful and fascinating formation for sure. I totally agree with Jeffrey on the Anthropomorphism reference - once could look and search with the rock for a while and find many different things.
I'm also in agreement with the color, but in addition, the bottom half looks overly bright to me relative to the top half; almost like you used a grad, but I don't think you did. weird.
Should look great if you get those colors adjusted.
Lon, thanks for your very fine tuned observation here. I do now also see your point as well. I really need to look back on that thing, looks to me like a rescan over just minor color tuning. Anyway, the main thing is the general odd looking formation until I get a fresh scan and rework.

the colorado plateau is a really neat place! You certainly did find a unique formation here. I see the cyan color cast as well, but easily fixed. thanks for sharing! Hope all is well!
Thank you all for taking a look, and your comments as well. As a result of the input I've re-scanned this image and made corrections as required. I feel this one works better overall.
Definitely an improvement Paul, but I still think needs some work. Hard to say what to suggest since I'm not looking at the original, but I still think it's overly light and more so along the bottom, including the bottom half of the rock. Just guessing, but it looks like you reduced the saturation globally? The cyan is definitely gone from the little patch of sky on the left. The yellow was strong in the first and looks like that was reduced too.
I think perhaps simply setting the black and gray points in a midtones Levels adjust layer.

Something about the colors is quite off with this image.
Nevertherless, it's quite a find. Thanks for sharing, Paul.
