Looks pretty good to me.
Quick to load, intuitive and attractive. There are a few things worth noting, though:
The Nikon symbol appears to be almost ready to spontaneously combust.
On your Galleries page, the small poster of the fellow sitting on the stool has type that is far too small to read.
It's not hot linked to enlarge, so there's just a picture of a fellow sitting there.
On your Home page, you refer to yourself as 'Renowned Outdoor & Nature Photographer...' twice in two concurrent sentences. That could stand to be fixed, IMO.
On your Books page and after the Blurb book samples appear, the samples won't disappear when one tries to click on another page tab, blocking the content of the other pages. After multiple attempts, this occurrence doesn't happen every single time, but enough to be a bit irritating when it does. One has to exit the entire site and reopen it after this occurs.
I'm using IE8 to view your site.
Nikon thing has got to go, hah. Agree with the poster text. Book previews are fine in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera. Just IE that screws it up - there's a shocker!
I can't stand that your galleries open a new tab, or that they make sound. NO SOUND!
Hopefully that's the kind of feedback you're looking for.
John hit a lot of good points. I would also check on your pricing pages. The arrows, once pushed, keep scrolling in the direction to the end of the line. Expected it to stop when released. And what a slew of choices to wade through. Could this be simplified to sizes and then print type (lustre, gloss, etc.)? And far be it for me to say anything on prices when selling prints, but your pricing on 8x12 or 10x15 lustre prints is better than what I see from most selling prints around here. Might be shorting yourself a few bucks when sales occur? The answer will depend upon your business model.
I would suggest not using all caps because it's a lot harder to read and not has friendly. Sites that are easy to read will typically have longer user sessions.
Hey James,
As you know, I do like your site.....flows well, neutral color makes your images pop. I would agree with Jon that all caps make text harder to read, so I would change that. You do need to increase your prices and I would elimate prints smaller than 8x12. Customers ordering small prints will freak out when the shipping charge runs $6 or so. Markup, in the portrait /wedding market usually starts at 5x's your cost of goods as a rule of thumb. Now, the landscape market may be different but not too much so.
