I was going through some images from past trips that I haven't gotten to before and decided to work this one up. Lower Antelope will always be one of my favorite places for many reasons.
Let me know what you think of this one and what could be done to improve it.
I like it!
The composition is great, and 'development' is subtle and spot on. Three things I might do here, though:
Clone out the (very) small white spot (bird poop?) there in the SE quadrant.
Perhaps darkening the bright wall just a bit there on foreground left to keep one's eye going inward to the "pot o' gold". Increasing the saturation of that wall a bit may be worth a shot, too.
Desaturating the left side of the stick some would help show more contrast between the wood and the stone.
Ive gotta be to the point here--this doesnt work for me. Its too confusing. I had to stare a good minute to figure out whether that line up top was part of the rock behind or some kind of freaky suspended arch--the depth isnt there. The lines aren't elegant, and lower antelope is all about elegant lines. Sorry to be brutal
