Took the Powershot S90 out for a test drive early this morning. I'm pretty impressed! I was hoping to get more shots of groups in the air but they tended to take off individually. Lots of fun regardless. Beautiful day until the sun vanished behind some clouds. We'd never been to a balloon fest before. Take a peek and let me know what you think  Thanks again to John Mumaw for directing me to the Camera RAW updater & to Bret Edge for recommending this camera!

well, im a sucker for balloon shots, but these are terrific! That shadow-play shot is a prize winner, IMO.

Wonderful. I had no idea the festivals were so colorful and vibrant. When is the next one and where. Love your new camera. I broke down and purchased the G11 and am in love with in on so many levels. Technology sometimes is a good thing. Great work, great composition and really captured the celebration. :toast:

Thanks for the comments everyone!
Byron, the Grand Daddy of all balloon extravaganzas is in Alburquerque, NM for nine days in the beginning of October. Around 750 entries with a mass ascension on the last day (I think).
