Thought i would give the mountains arest for a couple of days and have alook at what bird life is around Lake Geneva,The weather has been good for the last 4 days,Still plenty of goosander and pochard,The goldeneye are still distant but lots of grebe going thru the motions as are the swans and there never seems to be more than 20 mins go by without a fight over territories,I was set up for the grebes when these guys started having a go in front of me,At first i thought it was too tight an image with one swan being cut off but once i had done levels etc quite like it,Byw for you birders there is a cettes warbler in the area and was seen about 50 metres from me this morning as well as pin tail, garganey, shoveler, gadwall and widgeon all easily photographed and lots of little grebe

Not 100% convinced on this one, obviously you were overgunned for the action and you have to make a quick decision on the comp. I think I might have prefered to have seen most of the first bird with just a smidgen of the chasing bird, if that makes sense...
You have handled the exposure well with lots of detail in the whites.
All the best

Hi Dave
I'm not sure about the crop - but I still really like the image!
