Hi all,

Here is a Rook taken recently in the early evening sun. I was trying to record them in flight as they were landing but unfortunately the background beyond this grass mound was brightly coloured houses. I therefore had to wait until they were virtually on the ground before releasing the shutter.

C&C welcome.

Canon 1dMK4, 500mm, f7.1,1/1600, ISO400

Cheers

Austin

Very nice pic Austin, I like the claw off the ground.

Pin sharp where it needs to be Austin, like the sheen and catchlight. Although looking on it on the laptop, does it need a light lightening under the body to bring out the detail more? The raised foot just adds to it.

BTW In case you didn't see my reply to Bonxie, are you in the UK this week?

Like the pose. They really do have quite amazing plumage when seen in the right light.
