FYI, John Shaw has updated his Photoshop Field Guide eBook. From my memory, I think these are items added to this update that were not in the original:
*converting RAW files with Adobe Camera Raw
*using Bridge
*using the shadow/highlight feature
*soft proofing and dealing with out-of-gamut color
*converting color to black and white
*using the image processor
Even without these add-ons, the first version is still about the best $30 I've ever spent.
It doesn't look like it, Erik. I would even be willing to pay half price for an upgrade, but don't think I'll pay the full $30 for it. The original version was awesome and got my PS skills up to par in a week flat.

There is no free upgrade. This edition has more information than the previous edition. I am on the fence as to whether I am going to order this. I have so many books on this subject now that I am not certain I will get anything new from this that I do not have in other books.
I would love to see a revised edition of his Business of Nature Photography book.

Um, Walter, is there anything you'd like to cop to?

I heard a rumor that John is working on two books, well it sounds like this is one of them, so I wonder what the second on is?
I decided to order the new edition.
I kind of lost the CD to the first one . . . but I still have a hard copy that I printed at work.
I just ordered the first version last month but am still going to get the second version. As with all of John's books they are always worth the money. I am sure there is enough of a difference between the 2 or he would not have spent the time on the second edition.
I ordered a good 6-weeks ago and have not received anything. I've emailed a follow-up, and have heard nothing. I know there's a message about delay due to being out and about shooting, but 6-weeks seems to be pushing it. Has anyone received their copy?
I got mine, but the first one got lost in the mail. I got ahold of John via email (hard to do he is out a lot!), but he did send me another that arrived (USPS). I'd highly recommend emailing John again if you have to, and point him to this string if you have to.
