Path in Wildflowers, Arvin, CA
This was a great spring for wildflowers in
Southern California. In April I got this
image near Arvin. Your comments/critiques
are welcome.

Canon 10D
Tamron 28-300 Zoom Lens
Bogen Tripod

Robert, I like the idea for the general composition here, especially toward the path leading us into the scene. What is a bit off is the difference in lighting coverage from FG to BG. Not sure if that is brought on by a large cloud formation or the use of a grad. You did not list a grad so maybe just cloud cover going on then. One thing is for sure, that Arvin area has plenty of wildflower coverage at times, as you have mentioned before on some of your previous trips there.

Thanks for your commentary, Paul. I'm usually good about remembering
what equipment that I used. In the case, however, I can't remember whether
I used a grad or the distinct lighting variation is because of cloud cover.

Robert, this does look like a grad filter is creating some mixed light. Also, it looks a bit soft on my screen. If the image is sharp, it might be the technique you are using to sharpen for the web? You found a great spot with color with a path meandering through. You had yourself a fine spring with all the color you have posted.
