A couple of recent attempts to photograph these and on each occasion suffered the same as everyone else regarding the recent incessant wind.. However, I managed one or two for the library that I was reasonably happy with.. What do you think..?

Kind regards,

Brett

It's a bit tight in the frame for my taste too, but other than that a lovely and well composed image with great detail.

Hi Brett, nicely done, great strong colours with good detail. Like the way the plant just bends/curves slightly. Agree a wee bit tight. :toast:

I agree that it is tight in the frame, but having tried myself in the high winds yesterday I realise what a fine achievement this is.

Superb Brett. Maybe a tad tight on the LHS, but the overall quality more than compensates for that minor nit.

Cheers

Works for me too... I do hope you got one with a little more room around that is sharp... conditions really have not been easy of late if one is interested in close-up photography...

Good one... on one of the woodland food plants too...

Thanks folks, I do have a few more images from the day and others slightly smaller in the frame so will keep a hold of those as you've suggested.

Many thanks. :wavey:

these must be lovely butterflies to photograph, I'm very envious  I like this one a lot Brett, it is a little tight but the detail, soft light and the inclusion of the food plant more than compensate for me.
