Roxborough Wildflower Explosion!
Gotta put this out before Morris beats me to it...
Well, Morris' lupine shots definitely prompted me to go on 3 hours of sleep to get to Roxborough for early opening yesterday. And man am i glad i did, best wildflower display ive seen outside the San Juans--an incredible variety and number, just fantastic. And the sunrise was awesome to boot. Only problem was the clouds were mainly to the east, but everyhting else fell into place perfectly--i think a couple of my shots (yet to process a couple) are among the best ive ever gotten.
Here's looking east at the terrific sunrise and fields of lupine.

Great haul, Stan! You captured some amazing light and scenes. You should forego sleep as a normal course of action from here on out.

Looks like great conditions. All are nice but 1,5,7, really jump out.

I knew I should have processed faster! I'm going to have to really go through my shots so I don't post too similar comps. You have brought out every good thing there is to bring out of every shot! Every one of these is outstanding.
3 through 7 are different from anything I got, so they really grab me. No way to pick a favorite from a selection this good.

Great shots, but #7 is amazing. I have never seen those flowers before, and they are thick. Thanks for sharing.

A fine grouping. I must say that inspite of the nice flowers, the Lyons overlook is my favorite.

Great series. Really like #1 that sky is fantastic. The flowers in the last one really stand out.

Excellent, Stan, some of the best flower shots you've posted, especially that 1st one!

Stan,

Is this Roxborough State Park in Littleton?

Very nice stuff here. Like #1 the best for the sky. Good call on the forecast as well. Those cloud forecasts can be a bit tricky, but you nailed it at least 12 hours ahead.

Great series, Stan. I love #1, but might suggest cropping a bit from the bottom to remove the dark hole.
