Canon S90 and iMac Not Getting Along

So far, I love the S90 except for the fact that when I plug it in to my iMac it isn't recognized and doesn't show up in "Finder". Same result if I use a card reader. And, when I try to import the photos to LR3 they'll import, but then I get the dreaded "Files are offline or missing" error message. I don't want to be forced to use Canon DPP and it doesn't seem like I should have to when every other camera I've ever used imports photos to my Mac w/o issue.

Any thoughts on what is going on here?

I had similar issues although I don't have LR.

Love the camera BTW...check out my thread and photo link regarding the Santa Fe Trail balloon rally here on RMNP.

I suggest counseling.

I never had that problem with my Hackintosh and the S90 files; sounds like something goofy is going on.
