Hedgehog Profile
Visited some good friends on Saturday and this little aged hedgehog decided to join in the fun. After laying on the lawn over an ants nest, and suffering a little, we managed to get a number of images of this little chap/chapess. I think it was worth the pain

Cropped a little off the rhs for comp.
40D, 300 mm f4, ISO 400, f7, 1/200.

I think that is probably the most detailed head study of a hedgehog I've seen Fran. Spot on.

A cracking image Fran, great detail and colour balance. By the way, is it the 300mm f2.8 or f4 lens that you use? :toast: :jump:

Oops sorry Andy, it is f4, couldn't afford a f2.8 at the time sadly.

As I have said elsewhere, I just love the low viewpoint on this one, Fran.

Used to put DDT on these when I was a child to get rid of the fleas, then I read Rachel Carson's 'Silent Spring' ..... Never used pesticides again. Excellent image of a wolf in sheep's clothing.
