Rocky Shore
Another from a long coast trip taken a few weeks back. This looking North from Sunset Bay state park near Bandon. I found these striated rocks on an erroding ledge about the size of a desk top about 100 feet above the crashing surf. I downclimbed about 20 feet to the ledge and set up the gear next to a very surprised group of Cormorants which vacated the ledge below quickly. I used the rock striations as a solid foreground element to offer perspective. The last light of sunset was just fading off the rocks and twilight hues developing in the Northern sky as I rendered the image using a 3-second shutter, ISO 50 at F16 with a 2-stop GND.

This a a beauty Marc. I love the striations of the FG rock, they help help guide me into the frame. I also like the soft light and pastel color palette. This doesn't pop quite as much as your other one looking the other way from this trip, but I like this because it's different and a bit softer. Gorgeous as always Marc.

Was than an 800 x 600 desktop? Seriously, I know the area well, and it is just an awesome area down there - well captured by your efforts. I can't think of any improvements.. :toast:

Everything is truly perfect. I love and live for shots like this, myself.

Awesome, Marc...
