6 Spot Burnet
Hi all, one from the morning, loads and loads of these around on my favourite area at the moment, quite pleased with this one feel I am getting closer although still not quite happy with the detail around the body.

Techs D300 105mm (VR off) 1/30 @f11 tripod, MLU remote

All C&C welcome

Very nice indeed. How about one in flight? Now that would be something.

Hi Shaun

You've achieved a really nice feel in this image. While I've seen numerous shots of this species but there's something appealing about this example. Nice light always makes a difference.

Out of interest, how much of a crop has been applied?

Cheers,
Chris

Spot on for me Shaun. Lovely strong diagonal composition, well lit, good detail, attractive perch and a good background. Has it all.

Quick reply to Chris, only crop is to take it to 4x3 format, doen't ask me why it is just that I like that format, it is still full width of frame with just a litle taken of top and bottom.

Very nice Shaun. You mention not completely happy with body detail but if you'd tried to get more in the body, you'd have burnt out the detail in the flowers.I think you've achieved a happy compromise and a good result.

One of the best Six Spot images I have seen. You have also managed an attractive perch and got a good BG too. :toast: :toast:
