Barn Owl
Would really like to hear your thoughts on this one as I am not sure. Was taken in the last few minutes of the evening just as the sun was going down.He was quite far so have gone for this habitiat shot.Would have been better if he had been facing me, have had the image along with quite a few others since the spring so have decided to get some feedback on it

Canon 50D,Canon 500f4L + 1.4 convertor, ISO 400,f5.6,1/1250

Karen I think this is a nice shot of a Barn Owl doing what it does. It is clear, well composed, and I particularly like the backlit wings so well done you. :toast:

Terrific image, Karen,

It looks like the wind was blowing there and it make the background just amazing. I'd be very pleased with this.

The sense of movement conveyed in the background makes this quite different from the norm.

Yes - not enough superlatives to describe this one! The apparent movement in the grass is what makes it for me.
