I had fun exploring the agricultural areas near Prineville a few weeks ago. I had to shoot between rotations of the sprinkler on this one (only my socks got wet), but I like the stratification of colors and the detail in the rye (I think it's rye).

Canon 7D with 24-105mm
Focal length 24mm cropped from vertical framing
ISO 125, f/13, 1/125s

Marylynne, nice use of the sprinkler as a leading line into the scene and the hills beyond. It helps to provide a real depth to the image. Nicely composed.

Nice shot Marylynne. I love the tones of the hillsides in your area, :toast:

Definitely looks like summer in central Oregon. As David noted, I like how you used the sprinkler as a leading line to the hills.

Thanks, everyone. I've been out of town for a week so I'm just now catching up on replies. Looking at the image again, does the water have too much of a blue hue?

I noticed the blue cast. it should be pretty easy to fix. I like the image.
