An angle on a Small Skipper
Hi all :wavey: Here is one from this morning, thought I would try a different angle on this instead of the usual side on, I think it works, what do you think? All comments welcome.

I think I prefer the side on view to be honest Shaun I find the oof stem at the front a little distracting others may disagree though, it would maybe look better if the anntenna was in focus and the leg like the detail in the head though

I think Karen has conveyed my sentiments exactly. I find myself wondering around the image but finding to many things out of focus from a DOF point of view. I would back off of the subject a bit and you'll find you'll get a lot more detail. I also echo Karen's comment re. POV. Maybe use f11 as a starting point..?

it's not really working for me either Shaun I'm afraid. The OOF foliage is too dominant and too much of the butterfly is OOF (including the bit between the eye and the proboscis).

Sorry Shaun but I echo the above comments. Good to try something different though. Shows some imagination. :wavey:

If conditions permitted stacked images would have improved things a lot IMO.
