Blending First
I busted my blending cherry tonight. I took the two images last night up at Albion Basin in the Wasatch Mts for this purpose. Let me know what you think. You can be brutally honest, it's ok.

Wildflower side note: I think the peak flowers are still at least a week out. I'm no expert though.

I like it Jeff. What did you use for the blending...photoshop?

The image is great and the blend looks good to me. Is this a manual blend or did you use software?

Blend looks spot on, and the image overall is absolutely stunning.

Thanks!

I have CS2, and I hid a layer and used the brush tool at 30% opacity and 0 hardness to reveal the highlighted area. I found I had to be kind of careful where the highlights and shadow meet or it could really look like a neutral grad was used. I guess this would be considered a manual blend...?

That's an outstanding first effort. Heck, it's an outstanding 100th effort. I think it looks really natural. Very nice comp, too.
