The Mt. Shasta Lavender Farm provides a really striking foreground for great photos of an often difficult to shoot peak. The bloom happens in July and the light at sunset is pretty nice. The farm is located on Harry Cash Road south of Montegue. I'm also going to post one or two images from later twilight in the Man and Nature gallery. The sky color almost perfectly complimented the fields.

I love this! It's very peaceful to look at. The colors are perfect. Is there a labrynth or maze around the rock in the photo?

Beautiful image, Sean. I haven't spent much time up there but I understand it's difficult to find a difficult foreground. You certainly solved that problem here. By the way I looked at their website and they say they're only open from 9am-4pm. Were you shooting over a fence here?
Beautiful, Sean. The one posted in M&N is great too. This one is much warmer. I like the way you've provided such a different foreground. It makes this image work very, very well.

Sean, this is beautiful, the warm colors, I love it.
Luxurious combination of elements in this image with the lavender, mountain and distant peaks in great light. It all makes for a colorful and peaceful scene.
