Lavender Valley, Hood River, Or
I've got to give Kevin H. credit for steering me to this. I drove out there this morning (Friday) to see what there was to see. Not much of a sky, but I thought the light and the variations of lavender color gave this pic some nice layers.

I'm pretty happy with it, anyway.

Ryan, this is sweet. Would of course loved to have more interest in the sky, but your positioning of the mountain and minimizing the sky element works very well. It also accentuates the lavender. Very nice light on everything. :toast:

I can smell and taste the lavender from here! Even the sky has a touch of lavender color in it. Beautiful shot.

Ryan,

I love the colors of the lavender. You did a great job with layering. Wish I was there!

Likin' this, Ryan! Looks like you found a sweet spot for the mountain and the fields without the other stuff in the way.

It's funny, I love the sunplay in the foreground, but I really love the predawn sky color. You can't have everything, eh

Pre-dawn sky color is almost, well, lavendar....it all works wonderfully.
