This morning at Long Lake
Just had time for some early morning shooting this weekend, so I ran up to Long Lake to see what the wildflowers were like. I did get there in time for the sunrise which was nice, but not exactly fireworks. These are just a couple from this morning.

Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,

Morris

And #2 when the sun was on the peaks.

Both are really nice, Morris. Love the texture and color in the water in the 2nd one.

Sweet!

Killer shot in #2, Morris. Really nice, with that awesome alpenglow and those clouds. I also like the "personality" of the lake's surface. Good stuff!

#2 for me! I love how the light is just kissing the trees.

Beautiful stuff, Morris. I went up there for a look see today. Very crowded but beautiful area.

Like the vert comp and the subtle colors in the first images. Also like that little bit of pink in the sky.

Hard for me to pick between these two, both quite different and both very nice!. I do like the subtle tones in #1, and the glow on the lake in #2. I need to find some free time and head up there, since it's pratically on my doorstep. Did you go up past Long lake, any flowers appearing up there yet?.

Thanks so much everyone for your comments! :wavey:
Nick, I didn't have time to head up toward Lake Isabelle, but it's probably going good by now, too. With the peak in the not too distant future. I posted an update on the wildflower thread that has a little more detail.

Great shots both Morris, but I really like #2. I like how the tips of the trees are lit up in red. Really stunning light!

Love both but especially appreciate the subtle beauty of number 1. The texture on the water is very interesting on both. Crazy awesome light in 2 ! Excellent work Morris!

Nice work, Morris. I'm leaning toward #2, but I do like the subtle feel in #1. Great post processing too.
