Hi all

One of the first attempts from my new 'spuggy' project. It took a bit of cheating to get this shot - all revealed on blog - but pleased with the result as I have very little of these happy chappies in my portfolio, which is crazy as they're so common (although getting less so) and so photogenic. Hopefully I'll be able to get some better shots over the next week or so.

A very nice portrait. The perch works well, as does the green and yellow backdrop :toast:

Nice one Simon

I would probably take a bit of the top, but it doesn't bother me

A cracking image Simon. As you say they are very photogenic (but not easy I find to get an attractive image of them). You have done well here. As JR mentioned maybe a little off the top - not much though. :wavey:

Really nice image Simon. Wish you'd tell my missus how rare these are. We've had a pair nesting in our loft above our bedroom window and they're just finishing off there second brood.
You can hear them scrabbling about at dawn every morning apparently! I can't being a sound sleeper
