The Lookout
One from my recent walking holiday in Austria. I had a single day dedicated to wildlife photography and spent a really nice day just lazing on a small area of grass on a glacial mountain amongst a small family of european marmots.

I think this is a young male as its not overly shaggy compared to several in the family group.

Lightweight travel kit, Oly E620, 50-200 with 1.4 tc, 1 series gitzo and acratech ballhead. No special technique or clothing used, just patience and keeping absolutely dead still until accepted.

Good one Mike.Slightly distracting background behind the marmot but that's minor.
