I'm trying to chose between Silver Star Mountain near Vancouver, WA or Norway Pass on the east side of Mount Saint Helens for a hike and photo shoot this week. Anybody have any idea of which would be the best for wildflowers right now?

I don't personally know but hopefully you keep tabs on these websites for trip reports:

I haven't been up to Silver Star this year Greg, but generally, we'd be past peak bloom there with the peak in June, but some good flowers into July. With the cool June we had, that might have been pushed back. It's only a guess though. I'd check out some of those forums Steve referred you to and see if there are any reports. Good luck!!

Thanks for the reminders, Steve. I'd checked WTA already but forgot to check the others. Trip reports indicate flowers may still be happening at Silver Star. I'm going to try that one this afternoon or tomorrow morning and possibly Norway Pass after that.

I was at silver star last Monday and the beargrass was everywhere, but peaked. Don't think it would be as good, but lots of paintbrush scattered around though. Might be worth a trip.
