Not really photo critique but just thought I'd share this with you. We did the above for our local primary school and it was great fun. It's something that I encourage anyone to have a go as this does help, albeit in a very small way, to get kids interested in local wildlife. If you have any questions or want to find out how went about doing it, just drop me a line.
Great stuff Des.
I,ve been involved with kids quite a lot and nowadays it seems like mention natural history and no body wants to know. Like that around here anyway. Health and safety hasn't helped either. They need one helper with nearly every kid that goes out !
Rant over,- keep it up.

I like this too, Des. Occasionally running reptile walks for various groups, and encountering school parties while out doing reptile surveys, I have to say that my experience is very different to John's. I find loads of enthusiasm amongst youngsters. As for the health and safety issue, I was recently showing one such school party an adder I had just caught and was faced with the 'helpers' keeping well back, while at least one child wanted to stroke it. Easy enough for me to keep control, but I wonder what would have happened if I had not been there and one of the kids had just stumbled across it.
Des this is great, ihave 5 grand kids that i am trying to steer into natural historythis sort of thing really helps, good work.
Doting Grandad here was as proud as punch on sunday when my 4 year old grand daughter pointed out a barn owl to me,bit chuffed Keith.
Love it Des and a great example for kids to see.I was contacted by Charile Hamilton James as he wanted three of my Watervoles images for the book that goes with the series with some text on my Dipper site and a great link to my website in the back of the book, so I was over the moon as the book is a great guide for kids, learning them whats around us all,the simple beauty of nature.I really like this image and what it stands for Des,well done
