Little Blue on the Trinity
One last image from the Trinity River near downtown Fort Worth. Little Blue Herons are one of my favorites due to their lovely colors and excellent poses.

Water levels had fallen the last few days I was in FTW. Temps in the 100s tend to do that in Texas. I had a lot more background in this one than I would have preferred.

Dr. Dan,

At first I did not like the boulders on the upper left and the right side.

Then I started realizing how I was looking at this photo. My eyes went initially to the legged-body, then to the bright rocks in the upper left, then along the horizontal shoreline, then down the dark rocks on the right, the along the lower gravel bar's horizontal beck to the white legs.

Full circle.

Consequently, great composition for me.

Perfection would have been a little more blue space around the head, but otherwise pretty sweet.

Glad to see you are able to get out when here. We had some nice rains from Alex at the start of the month but they have pretty much shut off the flow at Benbrook Dam into the Clear Fork to keep the lake at a reasonable level. That does make the boaters happy. Wait til the fall rains and it will be a better water background.
