Yankee Boy and Stony Pass Preliminaries
I would say the conditions were awesome the past few days. Here are a few from Yankee Boy and one from Stony Pass (thanks Tony). I have some editing to do yet on these...particularly one photographer who refused to duck for even one shot..I was there way ahead of him!!! Oh well, thank God for cloning.

The first one is Yankee Boy monday morning...great clouds and first light!

Stony Pass Monday night...the clouds wouldn't cooperate after 3 hours ...decided to try a starburst...what do you think? I can work the flare when I get back home in CS5.

Boy, the light in the first one is sure sweet. I'm not a big fan of the foreground in that one but that light is just wonderful! The second image is also quite nice but I'd increase the contrast on it if you get a chance. Looks like you had a great time!

Those are all great, Jack! I really like the light on those peaks in the first one. And your columbine portrait in the last one.

Great Jack - liked the light on the first one. Surely great clouds out there ... did you camp nearby or went all the way up before sunrise ?

Sweet! Pretty set. Needs a little contrast boost i think, especially 1 & 2.

Solid stuff there, Jack! The first two are exceptional but I also really like the Stony Pass shot.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I just got home and now I need to get to work on some post processing of these!

Soubhik, I stayed at the KOA Campground outside of Ouray and drove up there at 4:30 AM both Saturday and Monday
